Update on our ongoing cyber security incident

20 August 2026 Update

We are aware of a further, related issue affecting a second area of our internal environment, identified on 19 August. As with the initial issue, we have no evidence at this time that this has affected the delivery of customer-facing services. Our external specialists and internal team continue to investigate, and we are in contact with the relevant authorities. We understand customers want more detail, and we will share it as soon as we are able to confirm it accurately.

12 August 2026 Initial notice

NexaNet is managing a cyber security incident that was identified on 11 August 2026, affecting a limited number of internal systems. We took immediate steps to contain the issue and engaged external cyber security specialists to support our investigation. Core network and service delivery are unaffected. We are working to establish the full scope of the incident, including whether any data has been accessed, and will update this page as our understanding develops. Any customers who believe they have received a suspicious email or message referencing NexaNet should not click any links and should report it to security@nexanetcomms.net.
